Nahum's Signature was born in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, out of a simple belief: that true elegance is made by hand, not mass-produced. Founded and led by Nahum Woripri Uchechukwu, an 18-year-old artisan from Akassa, Brass LGA, Bayelsa State, Nigeria, the brand carries a story that began long before its first product launch.

Nahum first learned the art of footwear-making at just 8 years old — the same year he started JSS1, his first year of secondary school. What began as a childhood skill grew, over the years, into a deep craft and eventually a calling. By the time he was ready to turn that passion into a business, he had already spent a decade understanding leather, soles, and stitching in a way few his age ever do.

We chose our name deliberately. A signature is personal. It's the one mark that can never be copied, the proof that something is authentically yours. That's what we want every pair of shoes to feel like — not just footwear, but a signature of who you are and how you carry yourself through the world.
